GIF Maker

Turn your photos and images into an animated GIF. Put them in order, choose how long each one shows, set the size and loop, and download — free, no watermark, and your images never leave your device.

About the GIF Maker

An animated GIF plays by itself and loops everywhere — in chats, emails, forums, slides and README files. The GIF Maker by Each Convert turns a set of photos, screenshots or drawings into one GIF: a quick flip-book animation, a before-and-after, a product slideshow or a step-by-step guide. You choose the order, how long each image stays on screen, the size and how often it loops, and everything happens inside your browser, so your pictures stay private.

How to Make a GIF from Images

  1. Drop your images into the box above, or click it to choose files.
  2. Drag the images (or use ← and →) to put them in order. Untick an image to leave it out; × removes it.
  3. Set the time per image, the width and the loop.
  4. Press Make GIF, check the preview, then Download GIF.

Tips for a Better GIF

  • Same-size images look best — the GIF takes its shape from the first image.
  • Fit or Fill — Fit shows every image whole on the background colour; Fill crops them to cover the frame.
  • Transparent background — tick Transparent to keep see-through areas of PNG images. GIF has no half-transparent pixels, so soft edges are blended into the background colour: pick the colour of the page the GIF will sit on.
  • Speed — 0.1 to 0.2 seconds per image for smooth animation, 1 to 2 seconds for a photo slideshow.
  • Smaller file — choose a smaller width or fewer colours; 64 or 128 colours suit drawings and screenshots.
  • Animated GIFs — drop one in and all of its frames are used at their own speed, so you can join several GIFs into one or add a title image before an animation. Press Split into frames on its card to get one card per frame, then drag, switch off or remove single frames.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. The GIF is made entirely inside your browser. Your images never leave your device, so the tool is safe for private photos.

How many images can I use?

Up to 300 images per GIF, each up to 200 MB and 100 megapixels, and up to 600 frames in total. JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP and AVIF images are supported. An animated GIF brings all of its frames and keeps its own speed; each of its frames counts toward the 600.

My images have different sizes. What happens?

The GIF takes its shape from the first image. With Fit, every other image is shown whole on the background colour you choose; with Fill, it is enlarged and cropped to cover the frame.

How do I make the GIF play faster or slower?

Change Time per image. 0.1 to 0.2 seconds gives quick, smooth animation, while 1 to 2 seconds suits slideshows of photos.

Is there a watermark?

No. Each Convert adds no watermark — the GIF is entirely yours.
